I am currently a law student at the University of Iowa, focusing on International Law, Comparative Law, and Cultural Resource Law. I have a BA in English and a BA in History: International Studies; though history is definitely my favorite. I adore reading and literature; the English BA was more for the fun of it than for a determination of career. I have taken courses in philosophy, religion, government, history, literature, writing, economics, sciences, math, and other topics. Everything from Detective Fiction to Constitutional Law to Islamic Civilization. I would love to actually work with History eventually; although I have finally focused on Korean, Japanese, and Chinese culture and history. I intend to move to somewhere in Asia when I graduate, where I hope to work with some type of International Law.
I enjoy cooking, drawing, painting, writing, photography, etc. However, my favorite things are reading and travel. Since childhood, I’ve read everything I can get my hands on: mysteries, biographies, poetry. . . if it is written, I tend to enjoy it. As for travel, I’ve been to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Korea, Japan, and much of the United States. This summer I intend to study in Japan and Korea; the following fall, I plan to be in Hong Kong, Beijing, or Seoul. My interests are diverse, as is my writing and photography!
